Magnolia In May
Day to remember

Upon feeling her warmth hit him, he turned to see her on his shoulder. He listened to the speech from the Counsellor but his thoughts from earlier floated back into his head. What would the people of his home country thing? Would they be upset with him? Think he married the first girl he managed to get pregnant? Not paying attention to what was going on around him, he saw a flood of light hit him and turned to see the last of Tiana’s words ‘lets go’.

Stepping out onto the balcony, he looked out onto the never ending crowed. It was as though the entire kingdom had shown up to see the announcement sent out by the kingdom only earlier that week. If Naveen’s cheeks weren’t a shade of pink already, they sure were now. Stepping up to the edge he saw a few familiar faces and gave a small wave. As he did he heard the crowd cheer along with a few lingering boo’s. He knew that was more than expected but starting his new life he didn’t want Tiana to have to go through what he had done unto himself, she wasn’t to blame.

Not wanting to linger any longer, or endure any more boo’s, Naveen headed inside, the first from the balcony. He knew the King and Queen were suppose to be the first but seeing his reputation, this was hardly anything. Heading towards Tiana’s room, he set Raymond into his crib and sat on the opposite side of the bed, his back towards the cribs and his head in his hands.

Tiana’s smile faded and her eyes trailed after Naveen when she realised that rigid reaction his body had was not from nervousness. The reaction had been fairly taken well, with the response overwhelming her and the people excitedly cheering and clapping. There were a few unfavourable reactions but it was quickly overcompensated by the happiness of the people.

She carried Angie and walked in after giving the public a wave and a smile, and followed Naveen to the babies’ nursery. She placed Angie in her crib, surprisingly asleep, and walked  with him to the neighboring room, where she usually nursed the babies. She had been shocked to see him with his head in his hands, she ddn’t know how to begin, “Naveen, honey, what’s wrong? Tell me, you know you can tell me anything. And whatever it is, we can get through this together, like we had for nearly a year now.”

She stroked his strong shoulders, though slouchy, she loved this man with all her heart and it broke her terribly when she sees him being upset.
